StratumDx partners with dermatology practices throughout Idaho and Oregon to provide high-quality dermatopathology services.

New clinics are onboarded through a brief phone call with our laboratory team.

This allows us to coordinate specimen logistics, courier or shipping service, and requisition setup for your clinic.

During onboarding we will:

  • Establish your clinic account
  • Provide specimen containers and requisitions
  • Arrange courier service or shipping
  • Review specimen submission guidelines
  • Answer any clinical or logistical questions

What We Provide

StratumDx makes it easy for dermatology practices to begin submitting specimens. Our team provides the supplies, logistics, and support needed for smooth specimen handling and reliable diagnostic reporting.

  • Specimen containers and requisition forms
  • Biohazard bags and transport materials
  • Michel’s transport medium for DIF specimens
  • Courier pickup or FedEx/UPS shipping when needed

 

In addition, referring clinicians benefit from:

Special Specimens

Direct Immunofluorescence (DIF)

  • Submit a perilesional biopsy in Michel’s transport medium.

Frozen Sections

  • Submit fresh tissue (not in formalin) and include orientation when applicable.
  • Our laboratory team can provide guidance if you have questions about specimen handling.
